FOR ALL EMERGENCIES, DIAL 911.

Our Assigned Neighborhood Patrol Officer:
R. Clyde Williams: 817-988-1035

Please call Officer Williams to report any suspicious or criminal activity, or if you have questions regarding the law, police procedures, or the like in our neighborhood. Officer Williams is part of the CCPD Program.

Officer Ken Jacobs has moved on to a new assignment in the Arlington Heights / Cultural District. Ken served the Chapel Creek / Westpoint area as our NPO for 10 years.  All of us who worked with him know of his dedication to keeping this area as safe as possible.  He worked closely with residents and the Citizens on Patrol organization. We wish him well in his new assignment.

Our Assigned Neighborhood Code Compliance Officer:
Marie Nagy-Jones:    817-879-8873
Marie.Nagy-Jones@fortworthgov.org

Fort Worth Code Complaince Main Office:  817.392.1234
Please call the Main Office or Officer Nagy-Jones to report any code-compliance matters, or if you have questions regarding the city codes.

Chapel Creek is located in the FWPD West Division, Neighborhood Policing District (NPD) 9, Beat M15. Our NPD Headquarters is located at 3525 Marquita St., is commanded by Lt. J. N. Dary, and can be reached at 817.392.4700.

Please visit the FWPD website for more information about the department, or to file a non-emergency police report online.

Crime in our patrol area is mainly theft due to open garage doors, burglary of motor vehicles, and criminal mischief. More serious crimes are a rarity in the Westpoint / Chapel Creek area.  One of the fastest growing crimes, both in our area as well as nationwide, is mailbox theft. Due to increasing identity theft, consider taking mail to the local post office.

Fort Worth Citizens on Patrol
The Westpoint / Chapel Creek Citizens on Patrol (COP) group is in dire need of more volunteers. It is statistically proven that when our patrols are frequently seen on our neighborhood streets, criminal activities such as automobile smash-and-grabs and home invasions are rare. Those that commit these crimes in Fort Worth tend to avoid the neighborhoods that have Crime Watch and active COP programs.

The City of Fort Worth has been nationally recognized for the effectiveness of the COP Program.

COP participation requires one eight-hour  training session, a shift ride in with a FWPD Patrol Officer (always an interesting experience), and a patrol with another area Code Blue member. We also need volunteer  radio base operators to keep track of our patrollers. Many times, husband and wife teams work together, with one on patrol and the other “basing” on the radio. Time spent volunteering is very flexible, as volunteers set their own availability and schedule. Even if you can only offer one two-hour patrol a month, your time will be valuable and appreciated! Every hour volunteered is one more hour of presence, vigilance, and awareness in our neighborhood.

If you cannot make one of these training sessions, but are interested  and we can get enough momentum, Ken Jacobs can coordinate an abridged five-hour session for our group.

There is a common misperception that this voluntary patrol-work is dangerous, or you must be a confrontational Type-A personality. This is not the case; COP volunteers serve primarily as an alert-system for the FWPD; officers will investigate reported suspicious activities, not COP volunteers.

For more information, please visit the Fort Worth C.O.P. website.
