The Christmas Lights Contest was judged by 6 members of the Executive Board 2008 & 2009 on the evenings of December 19 and 20. There was First, Second and Third Place prizes of $25.00 Wal Mart Gift Cards. This year we had a tie vote for Third Place, so we gave 2 Third Place honors. The CCNA also handed out 50 Special Recognition Award Certificates to homes throughout the CCNA area. Thanks to ALL homeowners who shared the wonderful Holiday spirit in lights with their neighbors.
 First Place Winner

First Place: 10408 Cattail Court - This Home was decorated with lights galore on a full front yard, along with both sides extending to the fence. The Christmas display featured lighted deer, Angels, and greetings of all sorts. These owners definitely decorated the home with overwhelming visual appeal!

Second Place Winner

Second Place:  2433 Concina Way - This home featured unique decorations with 6ft. Nutcracker Guards and holiday themes throughout the yard. The vast array of candy canes and lighted Christmas presents really stood out in the neighborhood. Great job!

Third Place Winner

Third Place Tie: 2512 Concina Way and 2521 Concina Way -
On a tied vote for Third Place, and each receiving a prize, both homes with their driveway lit archways, roof accents, singing Santas, and just amazing light arrangements were evidently too close to call drawing the tie votes.

Additionally, Concina Way was given special recognition by the CCNA for “Street Spirit Award” with the overall participation of multiple residents on the street. Along with Second and Third Place Winners, Concina Way received 6 Special Recognition award certificates. Concina Way is the street to beat in 2009! Several comments were received from residents outside our neighborhoods praising the Christmas spirit of Concina Way!

The idea of this contest goes beyond just sharing the joy of Christmas, but also exhibits a neighborhood joined in community spirit, by which the CCNA attempts to serve and encourage.
